* SCH one of the most established stevedoring, cargo and vehicle handling companies on the South Coast, servicing international RORO lines and operating vehicle compounds within the Port of Southampton.
* Southern Maritime Services [SMS] providing cruise and ferry operators with professional solutions to their Logistical and Operational needs since 2005 in Portsmouth International Port.
* Cruise and Passenger Services [CPS] is the most established cruise car parking operator, providing valet parking services for various cruise ports across the UK including Southampton, Portsmouth, Liverpool and Dover.

About the role
This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic person with an eye for detail and a willingness to learn to start their career in IT.
You will have the opportunity to learn about all aspects of IT Support from dealing with and resolving complex problems to fixing hardware issues as well as helping to develop knowledge and processes which benefit the department and company as a whole.
The size of the company is such that you will have an opportunity to meet and engage with the majority of our staff on a regular basis which is a great way to gain a better understanding of the business and the IT challenges it faces along the way
Occasional on call out of hours support may be required during the weekend as and when needed.
Your daily responsibilities will consist of:
* Identify and resolve technical problems relating to of MS 365 suite of applications, Access RDB, SelectPay, SelectHR, Codetrack, MS Azure servers, on prem servers, printers, network [LAN] and IT hardware such as laptops, desktops, printers etc
on a day to day basis.
* Management of internal projects to help the company develop its use of technology to the benefit of the company making it as “future-proof” as possible.
* Assisting with the continuous improvement of IT policies and procedures.
* Assisting with continuous improvement of our IT Knowledgebase.
* Monitoring and reporting of KPIs including number of IT tickets logged and resolution metrics such as first time fix.
* Any other tasks as directed by the Senior IT Technician.
The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:
* The ability to work well with others at all levels of the business.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Analytical/logical thinking and troubleshooting skills.
* Basic knowledge of key IT concepts such as networking and the Cloud.
* A minimum AS level qualification in IT or relevant IT experience.
* Any experience working in a customer facing role would be an advantage.
* Passion for any aspects of IT and their business application.
Salary:
* £09.11 per hour, £18,948.8 per year.
