Data Migration Lead
Description✓Data migration work
✓* Carry out data migrations, complying with Bromcom’s processes, for an assigned portfolio of customers
✓The method for each type will vary but includes:
✓* Database migrations [SIMS, CMIS, Arbor]
✓* API migrations [RM]
✓* Self-service Imports [CSV] files done at the database level [eg Groups and Timetable]
✓* Take full ownership for SIMS primary migrations and data verification
✓* Deploy all completed test and live migrated systems to the cloud
✓* Perform basic system checks before handing system over
✓* Take overall ownership for your assigned customers’ timelines, escalating issues and problems with the correct people to ensure that customer timelines are not impacted
✓* Ensure that CRM is updated so that the team have visibility of progress
✓Other work
✓* Lead on Vision deployments for the migration team
✓* Blank system creation and deploy for new schools
✓* Conduct monthly checks that data has been deleted as per ISO processes
✓* Where necessary convert Arbor database files prior to migration
✓* Check and maintain disk storage [eg large database log file]
✓Team leader support
✓* Support with assigning tester resources to customer projects
✓* Deputise for the onboarding team manager in running stand ups
✓Outcomes/KPIs
✓* Contribute to the overall metric of 99% of customer sites handed over on time.
✓Skills
✓* Basic SQL knowledge [Run scripts, take backups]
✓* Organisation – Must be able to prioritise tasks and stay up to date with work load
✓* Communication – Great communication with internal and external stake holders
✓* Problem solving – Pragmatic approach to issues and concerns as they are presented
