ICT Desktop Technician
Description✓Belmont Recruitment are currently in search of an ICT Desktop Technician Band 6 to join a council department in South Shields
✓This role will be full time and initially on contract until year end 2023.
✓Our ideal candidate will have experience of using/ managing Microsoft SCCM, Windows 10 and M365 support experience, using Active Directory and managing Application Deployments.
✓The postholder responsibilities are:
✓* To provide day to day 2nd line support and maintenance to the Council’s desktop and end-user devices
✓* To install, configure and test end-user device hardware and software
✓* To provide technical support, advice and guidance to users
✓* To work with other teams and contribute to other projects within the Digital and ICT Service
✓The hourly rate for this role is between £15 to £16 per hour dependant on experience.
✓Requirements
✓* A degree in an ICT subject
✓* One or more relevant MCP qualifications
✓* ITIL V3 or higher
✓* Relevant work experience in a similar role within the last 3 years
✓* Good working knowledge of MS Windows 8.1/10 and MS Office Products
✓* Good verbal and written communication skills
✓* Good diagnostic capabilities, particularly around desktop operating systems
✓* Problem solving skills
✓* Well organised
✓* Good keyboard skills and able to update systems accurately
✓* Able to quickly learn new technologies and solutions
