IT Support Engineer
Description✓We have an opportunity for an IT Support Engineer to join our client, a Ship Owning company, at their office in Renfrewshire
✓This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to take on a key role within a busy ship management environment
✓Reporting to the IT Manager, this position is office based, with the potential for occasional travel involved to offer IT Support to vessels.
✓THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
✓* 3+ years’ experience in a similar job role.
✓* Experience of supporting Microsoft 365 [Exchange Online, Teams] and Windows 10.
✓* Experienced in providing remote support using various remote access tools.
✓* Server operating system admin [Active Directory] experience desirable but not essential.
✓* Previous experience in Maritime Industry advantageous but not essential.
✓JOB DESCRIPTION
✓* Providing remote support to all vessels for mission critical systems.
✓* Providing onsite support for office-based staff – Microsoft 365\Windows 10.
✓* Log calls with third party VSAT and application suppliers, following up until closure.
✓* Update tickets logged through internal helpdesk system.
✓* Carrying out daily checks from remote monitoring and troubleshoot reported issues.
✓* Configure new desktops and laptops for deployment.
✓* Support with mobile devices.
✓* Maintain Technical documentation.
