IT Technician Apprentice

As Junior IT Technician you will support the daily operations of our client
This role is the first and second line of support, to office-based and remote users.
You will be part of the IT team that provides technical assistance for the company and day-to-day IT issues
You will support and troubleshoot equipment, including projectors, laptops, phones, networks, and video conferencing
The Junior IT Technician must be proficient, organised, and passionate about learning new technologies and services
This is a role, which may involve occasional out-of-hours work to meet crucial deadlines or to support maintenance windows.
Job Title: IT Technician Apprentice
Pay: £18,000 per annum
18 Month Apprenticeship with a view of a full-time permanent position upon completion
Hours: Monday - Friday 08:30am - 17:30pm
Location - Barnsley, S75 3UB
Training Provided :
Level 3 ICT apprenticeship standard delivered via virtual learning platform sessions
With support from specialist trainers and 121 skills coaches and our learning platform "Aptem" where you will complete the learning on program
IT Vendor training will also be provided.
Main Duties include:
Provide staff with technology support, including troubleshooting operating systems, applications, and network issues, answering questions regarding application use, and the installation of software.
Troubleshooting for systems, including desktop PC's and laptops.
Image/reimage laptops and install updates and software.
Network maintenance and troubleshooting, including wireless, firewalls, and switches.
Support all AV troubleshooting, including video conferencing and audio-conferencing room systems, projectors, digital screens, and other related equipment.
User account management through Azure active directory.
Troubleshoot and maintain printers.
Qualifications and Key Skills:
Maths & English GCSE at Grade C/Level 4 or above or equivalent is desirable
Good communication skills
