Junior Test and Support Engineer

DescriptionAbout us:
We are the Information Intelligence Group [IIG] of CACI UK, providing bespoke technical solutions to solve a range of customer problems
Our success relies on the ground-breaking thought leadership of our staff, be they engineers, architects or delivery managers
We work with the newest technologies, in a highly dynamic working environment that challenges and nurtures great talent.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for someone at the early stages of their career to join the team within our MooD business
MooD is a large-scale software platform designed to bring systems together into a single, coherent working model for management and future planning
This system is used by a range of clients across the public, private and defence sectors.
Role Location:
At CACI IIG we have a hybrid working model where you have flexibility with how you work, from one of our 6 UK Offices or from home
This role will require regular trips to our York office.
The Role:
As a Junior Test and Support Engineer, you will provide direct support to both our customers and internal teams, enabling IT processes to run efficiently and providing our customers a 1st class support service
In addition, you will also undertake manual testing activities, working with our Architects and Business Analysts to ensure the product meets expected quality standards.
What will I be doing:
* Improving and maintaining a comprehensive self-service knowledge base of documentation, to enable best practice for both internal and external customers.
* Conducting manual testing against user stories and acceptance criteria, ahead of each product release
* Providing help desk support for the MooD platform and solutions, by working with the customer you will replicate issues and create bug reports, taking ownership to full resolution with the help of the software engineering team.
* Supporting the development and delivery of product and delivering solution training packages both internally and to customers.
* Compiling regular reports on a variety of platform aspects.
* Supporting the implementation of agreed change requests and updating process documentation.
* Maintain and grow customer relations by taking a genuine interest in ensuring the customer’s success and maximising their productivity through use of MooD software and services.
* Ensure customer success through various support initiatives, such as monitoring and reporting on solution usage, and facilitating forums and knowledge sharing.
The Fit:
This opportunity will suit someone at the early stages of their career, looking for a hands on IT support role where they can gain exposure to a number of different tasks
Although an aptitude for learning & handling existing and new technology is important, we are really looking for someone who communicates well and enjoys providing high levels of support to customers
Experience in an IT support / 1st line support type role would be useful, however evidence of providing excellent levels of customer support is key.
In addition you will be:
* A strong collaborator and relationship builder
* Curious about technology
* Able to prioritise effectively and able to challenge the status quo.
* Have great attention to detail
* Be resilient, energetic and enthusiastic
