We are looking for someone who is…
•    An Excellent Analyst – with strong problem-solving skills to work with our detailed investment models and the ability to apply appropriate Asset Management knowledge to drive and shape our models
•    Is a strategic thinker – sees the ‘big picture’ and can understand how to best work and develop our regulatory framework to achieve the best outcomes for Gas Transmission and its consumers, in a rapidly changing energy industry
•    Strong collaborator – works across the organisation to understand the requirements and perspectives of others to influence and achieve the desired outcomes

We are looking for a Data Analyst who will:
•    Own and develop projects working with internal stakeholders to continuously improve our asset risk modelling capabilities, this includes asset and model data improvements. 
•    Work with our Asset Management Planning team to provide robust and quantified evidence to support investment decision making, including investment optimisation and stakeholder consultation and feedback
•    Develop and test models that consider changes to the network to achieve net zero, for example, the inclusion of a Hydrogen future in our all-asset strategies and investment plans
•    Utilise the risk and monetised risk from our models to develop the optimum business plan considering cost, health and safety, environmental and availability impacts on the network.
•    Work within our Asset Strategy team to ensure our risk and investment models reflect our objectives and support our long-term strategies
Ideally, you will have knowledge and experience in some of:
•    Asset management tools, risk quantification and management
•    Whole life cost analysis
•    Knowledge of the use of asset risk models for investment planning application
•    A minimum of 5 years post-graduation experience is desired unless evidence of exceptional achievement can be demonstrated.
•    Advanced Excel skills and ideally knowledge of a programming language such as Python, VBA or C#
•    Practical application of mathematical and statistical modelling techniques
•    • Copperleaf C55 system knowledge [preferable]
Degree or equivalent level education in a relevant mathematical, science, engineering or economics discipline.
