Network Engineer
Description✓The Opportunity:
✓To join a specialist IT Consultancy as a Junior IT Network Engineer based in central London, we are looking to attract a confident, client-facing individual to provide remote and onsite project delivery and client support across a selection of clients based in central London.
✓Our client wants to bring-on a Juniper Engineer that is looking for the commercial exposure, the 1-2-1 training and support, working under the professional mentoring of their Lead Site Network Engineer to learn and familiarise themselves with the technologies and people you will be supporting.
✓Skills and Experience:
✓Candidates will ideally have obtained an IT qualification and have a genuine interest and passion in developing an IT career focussed on IT Networking, AV Support and in-house IT infrastructure.
✓* CCNA or JNCIA or equivalent experience highly desirable.
✓* Networking skills [Switch, Router, Firewall, OSI Layer, IP, Wireshark, Wi-Fi Access Points, Cisco, Juniper etc.] – knowledge of and experience configuring network equipment [Switches, Routers, Aps, etc.]
✓* Web and Video Conferencing skills [Microsoft Teams, MTR, WebEx, Poly, Logitech, Crestron, Cisco UC solutions etc.]
✓* AV skills [Digital signage, wireless screen sharing, interactive screens, etc.]
✓Role and Responsibilities:
✓To provide best practice customer service and first-line support, candidates will be operating in a client-facing role and must have the ability to determine and understand user needs and be able to translate them into technical requirements, as and when required.
✓You will be getting involved with the design, configuration, installation, testing and support of enterprise grade network switches, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi access points audio, visual and digital signage systems for a number of public-sector clients and staff across the Greater London area.
✓Any knowledge of design methodology, infrastructure operations support or site-based network engineering experience is ideal as you will be given extensive training to ensure your technical skills are what their client requires.
