Description✓Title: UCaaS Platform Engineer
✓Salary: £38,000 - £45,600
✓Location: Manchester
✓We are working with a prominent provider of Unified Communications as a Service [UCaaS], catering to the UK, German, Spanish, and Benelux business markets with voice, data, and mobile products and services.
✓This is an exciting opportunity for a UCaaS Platform Engineer to join their team
✓This role entails hands-on engineering support for monitoring, maintaining, and operating the Core Network for Unified Comms Service
✓Your key responsibilities will include:
✓Monitoring and responding to incidents across the Unified Communications Service.
✓Providing technical support to internal teams through trouble ticket resolution and escalation when necessary.
✓Performing emergency configuration changes across various components of the Unified Communications Service.
✓Conducting root cause analysis for production errors and maintaining Business Continuity schedules for the Unified Communications Service.
✓Implementing planned configuration changes for various components of the Unified Communications Service.
✓Identifying areas where Automation Frameworks are needed for maintenance and troubleshooting procedures and implementing them accordingly.To be successful in this role, you should have experience in:
✓Supporting UCaaS solutions, preferably with a focus on open-source technologies such as Kamailio and Freeswitch, at a Carrier level.
✓You should also be well-versed in Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes and possess expertise in supporting Open-Source Voice Technology [Kamailio / FreeSwitch / WebRTC, RTP Engine] and Web Servers like NGINX
✓[Broadsoft/Broadworks]
✓Knowledge of protocols like SIP, RTP/SRTP, WebRTC, ICE/TURN/STUN, Linux, and Windows Administration is essential.As part of your role, you'll have the opportunity to lead internal projects, contributing to the development of your skills further
✓The ideal candidate will have worked at a senior level in a support desk environment and should be capable of communicating effectively through various means, including phone calls, meetings, and emails.
