VIP Support Deskside Engineer IV

✓Our client, a blue-chip IT company, is currently seeking a VIP Support Deskside Support Engineer IV based on their customer site in London W1G
✓This is a full-time, permanent role working either 07:30 - 16:00 or 10:00 - 18:30 split between two colleagues.
✓The role is paying up to £33,120 per annum plus Inner London allowance of £4,000
✓Purpose of the role
✓Responsible for providing on-site desktop support for technical infrastructure for end users; advising and assisting users in solving problems related to software, hardware, networks, and peripherals using available technology.
✓To provide End User Workplace support to company's VIP users
✓An exciting opportunity has arisen to support and specifically VIP user community in a central London location
✓The successful candidate must be well presented, an excellent written and spoken communicator and well versed in working in a VIP formal environment with an excellent knowledge of End User Workplace equipment including Desktops, laptops, Printers, and mobile devices [both smart phones and tablets]
✓Wide range of skills across a number of platforms or highly specialised in one
✓Minimum of 2 open systems demonstrating in-depth technical knowledge
✓Writes operational procedures
✓Should have professional accreditation or equivalent practical experience.
✓Expert business level technical knowledge for onsite system level repair and support
✓Complex firmware updates to a wide range of equipment
✓Manage escalations
✓Scope & plan upgrade/rollout projects.
✓As a Desktop Support Engineer, you will be:
✓Providing on-site desktop support for technical infrastructure for end users
✓Advising and assisting users in solving problems related to software, hardware, networks and peripherals
✓Assisting VIP's and their respective teams as required
✓Deal directly with clients in a friendly and highly confident manner
✓Maintaining a good working relationship with key stakeholders and support teamsSkills and Experience
✓Knowledge of current and past Microsoft windows operating systems
✓Basic knowledge of Mac OS platforms
✓Knowledge and experience with Microsoft 365 [Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, Intune etc]
✓Experience in Windows imaging techniques [Network & Local]
✓Microsoft Active Directory & Azure Active Directory knowledge
✓Remote desktop support tools
✓Desktop/printer configurations
✓Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
✓Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
✓Experience and technical knowledge of IT, PC's / peripherals and their architecture
✓Break fix, IMACs, Incidents, Projects
✓Experience with Ticket Management
✓Comfortable with liaising and working alongside 3rd Parties
✓Display flexibility and the ability to manage your day effectivelyDesirable Skills/Qualifications
