About The Role
Leicester City Women Football Club are looking to recruit two outstanding coaches with experience of working in Academy football to join our newly restructured Academy set up
These individuals will be present at all pitch-based training sessions, technical sessions, performance analysis and matches related to their respective age groups and assist in creating a culture that maximises the talent of each club player in all aspects of the four-corner model to maximise the quality of team performance and aids transition into the Women’s 1st Team.
Under 16’s Head Coach and Under 21’s Assistant Coach
This individual will lead on all coaching activity related to the U16 group, ensuring the highest level of performance is achieved
They will also assist the U21s Head Coach in the day-to-day footballing and pitch matters for the U21’s whilst working closely with the U21s Head Coach to support and develop the U21s to achieve the highest standard.
Under 16’s Assistant Coach
This individual will work closely with the Under 16’s Head Coach and Under 21’s Assistant Coach to support and develop the U16’s to attain the highest levels of performance.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have significant experience of:
* Experience of working within 14 – 16 age groups
In addition, experience in players transitioning into open age football.
* Experience of young player/ player development and knowledge of appropriate technique and skill development practices.
* Experience in structuring sessions that are appropriate to the player’s needs.
The ideal candidate will also have the following skills and knowledge;
* A practical, flexible, and innovative approach to work, with excellent interpersonal skills and relationship management.
* Able to communicate effectively [written and verbal] across all levels and with players, staff and senior management.
* Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
* Dedicated to self-improvement and personal development.
* An ability to inspire and lead individuals.
* Focused on individual player development.
* Willing to support and promote the Club and Football Philosophy.
Essential Requirement –
* UEFA B or above coaching qualification.
* FA DBS
* FA Level 1 Introduction to First Aid in Football [IFAiF] or FA Emergency First Aid.
* Must complete the Effective Coaching in the Female Game Course [ECFG] within 18 months of appointment.
* Full UK Driving Licence - away travel required along with driving Club team minibus [depending on the team].

From its formation in 2004, the Club was run on an amateur and semi-professional basis with support from Leicester City Football Club
In August 2020, the Club turned professional after being acquired by King Power International – Leicester City’s parent company – and realigned as a core team in Leicester City’s football operation.
