A leading company that specialises in group coach tours on a national and international basis, is looking to expand its team
They are looking for a Crew Manager, to take a hands-on leadership approach, along with a pro-active management style with the ability to motivate teams, identify training needs and manage performance
The Crew Manager will recruit, coordinate and manager the Tour Leaders
They are looking for an experienced Tour Leader / Tour Manager, who is looking for a step up and to be a Crew Manager.
SALARY ETC:
* £40k to £50k depending on experience.
* Free / discounted travel opportunities.
* Permanent, full-time
* Hybrid working, 3-days office based
* SE London
* Monday to Friday, office hours, although you will need to be available at weekends for emergencies when needed [not a regular occurance but need to be adaptable for this role].
REQUIREMENTS:
* Previous experience working as a Tour Leader/ Tour manager, ideally in Europe.
* Have experience in training and development, with some team leader / supervisory or managerial experience.
* Be a natural leader and able to translate the insights from frontline staff [Tour Leaders and drivers] to management, but also communicate company decisions and policy to Tour Leaders.
* Be fast-thinking, forward-thinking and a multi-tasker.
* Be creative and innovative - the main focus is improving our clients’ experience when it comes to the Crew/Tour Leaders.
* To be confident in taking a hands on approach and be able to communicate well with all colleagues and management.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
* To be a hands on manager, defining and overseeing the implementation of all activities related to the qualitative aspects of the Tour Leader and Driver roles.
* You will work in partnership with the company’s senior management team, and form part of the strategic planning as well as day to day execution.
* Responsible for the Road Crew [Tour Leader’s and Drivers]
You will recruit them, train them, schedule them, support and develop them and ensure that they represent the company’s mission.
* Responsible to help develop the overall company strategy, and translate that into a strategy for the Tour Leader and driver team to execute on the road.
* Provide regular reporting and feedback to demonstrate that objectives are being met and enhanced service levels are being delivered.
* Be a coach to the Tour Leaders
Build, grow and develop a team of TLs with laser like focus on executing elements of the company strategy whilst on the road.
* Set clear goals for the Tour Leaders,Communicate openly,Build Trust, and hold your team members accountable.
* Take a Hands-on leadership skills and a pro-active management style with the ability to motivate teams, identify training needs and manage performance.
* To be a crew support and representation within the office
* To provide emergency support to Crew
* Schedule TLs and drivers based on their expertise
