Energy Analyst

DescriptionPrimary objectives and responsibilities for the Energy Analyst are:
Develop and implement energy cost saving strategies:
*
Provide project support to the Energy Team and the Commercial & Finance Director.
*
In conjunction with the Energy Team take responsibility for energy dashboards and provide training as required to users, liaise with operational staff and ensure they are being used by centre managers and Regional Directors to monitor and reduce energy consumption.
*
Develop and verify the use of data analytics for consumption benchmarking, cost forecasting and financial reporting for the existing and onboarding portfolio.
*
Collate data, analyse trends, and identify areas of opportunities efficiency solutions.
*
Assist in the production of investment appraisals, prepare data and analysis for the submission of business cases in support of energy efficiency equipment.
*
Monitor installation and performance of equipment and report on the same to ensure predicted savings are and continue to be made.
*
Provide data for new projects.
*
Assist in the setting of and analysis of performance against the utility budget across the Leisure Centres.
Training Management at different leisure centre sites
*
Work closely with external stakeholders to understand the training needs in regards to management of energy within the site.
*
To assist with energy saving training and investment programmes.
Other responsibilities
*
Assist with SECR, ESOS, CHPQA and other compliant record keeping
*
Assist with the collection of data for compliance reporting [SECR and ESOS] and for energy procurement decision making.
*
Collect meter readings from site operational staff and submit monthly to energy consultants for billing and compliance.
*
Assist finance and leisure operation staff in any utility billing queries and support and track through to resolution.
*
Work with the finance team to ensure that utility accruals and billing is correct.
*
Responsible for data platform management and management of the Energy Team file structure.
*
Liaising with energy consultants to monitor contractual performance.
*
Engage with and maintain relationships with key suppliers tracking performance against KPI’s.
*
Fully support Divisional Business Development Activities.
*
Order processing - PO management.
*
Support and lead on projects and initiatives as required.
*
Produce and develop regular business reports and statistics as required by the business.
*
Review energy market intelligence, and contribute to the implementation of innovative approaches to energy contracting.
*
Assist with Water Consumption and Tariffs
*
Provide cover for the Energy Manager and Energy and Sustainability Manager as required.
