The Cheltenham Trust is an independent charity that manages five iconic venues at the heart of Cheltenham including the Pittville Pump Room, Cheltenham Town Hall, Wilson Art Gallery and Museum, Leisure at Cheltenham, and the Prince of Wales Stadium.
Leisure at Cheltenham boasts excellent swim, gym, indoor and outdoor sports facilities including a pool complex, fitness and wellness suite, stadium, sports hall and studios and soft play.

The Role – Duty Manager
You will oversee and coordinate the daily operations at Leisure at Cheltenham, while supporting the Operations Manager
Working as part of our team, you’ll deliver a great visitor experience for our customers and members
Duties will include:
* Coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the building, including the opening and closing procedures
* Supervising, engaging and developing operations and facilities team members
* Managing operations rostering ensuring a cover plan is in place for all pools
* Managing site cleaning standards, checklists and compliance records
* Supporting the management of Royal Life Saving Society accreditation, staff compliance and training
* Assisting with the management of site plant rooms to include general maintenance, stock control and ordering
* Ensuring a safe and clean working and visitor environment
* Covering for the Operations Manager when required
* Managing and resolving customer complaints onsite
Our Requirements – Duty Manager
* Experience gained within a supervisory / managerial role, ideally gained in a customer facing environment
* Operations experience including good knowledge of health, safety and security policies and procedures, including fire and security systems
* Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
* Practical, hands-on approach
* Good level of IT skills including Microsoft Office
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple demands and deadlines
Although not essential, a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification and Pool Plant Operators qualification would be advantageous, although training will be provided where needed.
The Package
* Permanent contract
* 40 hours per week on a rolling rota working 5 days out of 7, including early mornings, evenings and weekends
* Salary from £24,000 with the level dependent on experience
