✓We are seeking to recruit motivated, enthusiastic, flexible and customer focussed people to join our team at Tarka Leisure Centre in Barnstaple, North Devon.
✓Tarka Leisure Centre is the most modern leisure facility in the North Devon locality and will provide a 25m swimming pool, 20 metre learner pool, sports hall, state of the art gym, spin studio and 2 x group exercise studios and indoor ski facility as well as the current indoor and outdoor tennis courts and all weather pitch.

✓The Opportunity
✓Receptionists have a varied and interesting role
✓The activities in a Leisure Centre are wide ranging and the involvement with people is continuous
✓This allows for an exciting day, using your skills on a diverse range of jobs
✓The primary objective of your role would be to:
✓*
✓Ensure that all the people who enter the Leisure Centre receive a friendly, polite and efficient service
✓*
✓Create a favourable first impression of the Leisure Centre
✓*
✓Have a good range of knowledge regarding the Leisure Centre
✓*
✓Be flexible in the role as weekend work is essential
✓*
✓Be comfortable selling memberships and upselling to all customers
✓*
✓Serving food and drinks to customers from Reception
✓The Person
✓*
✓You will have strong interpersonal and customer facing skills and become knowledgeable about our facility and the services we provide
✓*
✓You will ideally be able to demonstrate competency of working in an administrative role
✓*
✓Capability in cash handling, customer relations and basic computer skills are essential requirements for this post
✓*
✓You must be friendly, enthusiastic with a positive attitude and a good understanding of customer service and customer care
✓*
✓You will be flexible, reliable, possess good communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team
