✓Hours of work: Full Time 40 hours per week working any 5 days out of 7 including weekend working covering hours of 06:00-22:30
✓Salary: £26913 per year + pension and free gym membership
✓We are currently looking to add a Wet Operations Manager to help lead our operations team at Heston Leisure centre
✓This leisure centre that boasts; 25m 6 lane swimming pool, 12.5m Teaching Pool, Gym, 2 studios, café, Sauna, Steam Room, Soft Play and 4 outdoor 5 A side football pitches.
✓What is the job of a Wet Operations Manager…
✓Reporting to the General manager as Wet Operations Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our aquatics programme as well as acting as a duty manager for the leisure centre.
✓* Drive and achieve centre financial targets and KPIs, including customer service targets, occupancy targets, revenue targets, payroll costs and participation levels
✓* Drive all wet side programming, maximizing Swim School and Learn2 occupancy
✓* Oversee wet side booking processes
✓* Ensure the delivery of enjoyable, cost-effective, and safe activities
✓* Provide clear leadership with regards to compliance with all health and safety procedures and requirements, fixing or escalating issues as appropriate.
✓* Line management responsibilities for recruitment, induction, delivering training, appraisal, development, and performance management of staff, including one‑to‑ones
✓* Supported by the divisional Technical Trainer you will ensure IQL CPD, record-keeping, and verification requirements are complied with at the Centre
✓We are looking for someone that…
✓* Management experience in the hospitality or service industries
✓* Experience of working in wet operations [lifeguarding, swim teaching or Trainer Assessor]
✓* Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence and persuade.
✓* Good numerical and written skills with experience in financial management and budget preparation
✓* Be able to demonstrate a track record of meeting targets & KPI’s
✓* Experience of working within a Health & Safety critical environment with the ability to understand and implement legislation in the operational environment.
✓* Ideally hold a First Aid at Work Certificate
✓* Ideally have an understanding of operational workings of pool plant room
