✓I have an excellent opportunity available to join an expanding and thriving business in the Telford area
✓This is a unique opportunity to join the business in the newly created Commercial Operations Manager position
✓We are looking for someone to manage a team of five people to ensure that all client purchase orders are efficiently processed following the correct processes in accordance with the company IMS from receipt to despatch.
✓Duties include but are not limited to:
✓* Management of purchasing, expediting sales and projects administration functions
✓* Ensure that all orders received are correctly reviewed and if necessary, arrange and chair contract review meetings with all stakeholders
✓* Chair weekly Planning and Expediting meetings
✓* Ensure that all sales order entry and processing functions are undertaken correctly and in a time manner
✓* Schedule routine progress meetings on major project orders.
✓* Oversee contract purchasing function ensuring that contract material is received on time
✓* Ensure that all orders are dispatched on time in accordance with client requirements
✓* Work closely with the Senior Management team across all departments
✓* Management and maintenance of internal systems, overseeing all back office administration functions including Purchasing, stock allocation and control, shipping, expediting
✓* Managing the Administration team and Despatch team
✓* Conduct periodic performance appraisals of each employee under the job holder’s control
✓* Manage warehouse and despatch functions in collaboration with the Manufacturing Manager
✓* Management and maintenance of internal administration systems, overseeing sales and purchase activity and involvement in stock allocation and control
✓* Liaising with all departments in order to authorise and progress contracts including problem solving and troubleshooting
✓* Be a member of the steering committee on Health & Safety, IMs and Company Compliance
✓* Operations Support to the team and Directors managing budgets and collating reports
✓Skills and Experience
✓* A proven record of accomplishment in managing operations for small and medium sized companies
✓* Be an exceptional communicator who is confidently able to get themselves heard
✓* Be very well organised with a proactive approach to getting things done
✓* Knowledge of IMS/auditing/ISO would be advantageous
✓* Previous experience of supporting and leading operational and administrative teams is essential
✓* Must have excellent attention to detail
✓* Good time management with the ability to work to strict deadlines is essential
✓* Must be adept with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc
✓* Experience of accounts packages and stock control systems essential
✓* A proactive and highly adaptable approach to work
