We are currently looking for a Development Manager to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role
As the Development Manager, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of company growth across the south of England
You will also lead and support national projects to ensure success.
Strategically positioning the business, you will work with the Operations and Bidding teams to help secure new contracts and develop a pipeline of new growth opportunities.
You will also seek out, investigate and deliver non-tendered opportunities to support our growth, in line with the Recycling Strategy and our Business Plan objectives.
Additionally, you will:
- Attend monthly Development Team meetings
- Support the creation and delivery of the Recycling Division Strategy
- Take ownership of the strategy for your region
- Develop detailed client engagement plans
- Present FCC to clients and the wider market
- Develop, negotiate, agree and implement new services
- Help to develop sites and support site management
About You
To be considered as a Development Manager, you will need:
- Considerable and fully-evidenced experience in the successful delivery of business and/or project development programmes which have resulted in significant growth
- At least five years in an organisation with a professional and disciplined approach to business and/or project development
- Experience in developing and delivering business strategy and growth plans
- A proven understanding and experience within the waste industry
- Knowledge of the waste market including key competitors and market opportunities
- Commercial and financial understanding
- Business acumen
- A degree, or similar with experience of operating in a senior management role with a proven track record within a profit centre of at least £25m turnover
