Production Manager
Description✓Our client is a small and specialised manufacturing company in Redditch, Worcestershire. They export all around the world and are the only UK manufacturer of test panels and as such find themselves in a good position in the market.
✓We are recruiting a Production Manager, this is to be a very much hands on role, supervising 2 employees in the works and working closely with the Finance Director
✓Ensuring raw materials and finished good stocks are maintained, orders are fulfilled, answering customer enquiries, often of a technical nature
✓The Finance Director and Production Manager will share management duties
✓You will work alongside the current Production Manager up to his retirement.
✓
✓Production Manager key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:-
✓To manage the production effectively ensuring efficiency and productivity
✓To liaise with the Finance Director regarding the purchasing of consumables, materials and managing stock control
✓Involvement with scheduling
✓Carry out training, risk assessments etc
✓Must have excellent attention to detail
✓Able to mentor and motivate staff effectively
✓Adherence to both Quality and Health and Safety standards in addition to compliance with company procedures and policies.
✓An excellent communicator at all levelsThe successful Production Manager will have the following skills and experience
✓A production management background advantageous but not essential
✓Must have excellent attention to detail
✓A working knowledge of continuous improvement techniques/methods and previous success in making efficiencies/maximising production
✓Knowledge and experience of either fabrication / sheet-metal background, surface coating, chemistry would be beneficial
