✓Job Description:
✓Due to a requirement to increase the number of applicants that Cataphract are vetting, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join as a Vetting Manager.
✓Location: Wendover, Bucks
✓Contract: Permanent
✓Work hours: Full time - Hybrid
✓Salary: £35000 - £40000 per annum
✓Vacancies: 2
✓Main duties and responsibilities
✓* Being the Vetting Contact Point and Manager for a Key Account
✓* Liaising between the HR function within the account and the vetting team to manage pre-employment screening and security clearance.
✓* Creating the nominations pack for security clearance [CTC and SC Clearance] and process accordingly.
✓* Track progress and manage vetting issues for new and 5-year renewal clearance with the Home Office.
✓* Monitor the account for monthly security clearance renewals [typically 4 months in advance] and process where applicable.
✓* Distribute DBS requests and admin tasks to vetting Clerks.
✓* Monitor the successes or incompletion of references, DBS and CCJ checks.
✓* Point of contact for vetting questions
✓* Flag any employees that are unresponsive to vetting questions and actions to client HR and Directors.
✓* Re interview applicants or candidates whose vetting brings up anomalies of variance of the truth.
✓Essential
✓* Experience of managing people in the delivery of quality work to demanding deadlines.
✓* Thorough understanding of policing procedures and terminology.
✓* Trained and experienced in interviewing.
✓* Experience of conducting research, validating, and corroborating evidence.
✓* Able to develop and implement a stakeholder relationship plan; to develop trust; and to ensure that stakeholders’ needs and concerns are fully understood and responded to in an appropriate way.
✓* Able to plan to short and medium-term cycles, to coordinate a range of activities appropriately within the function, to match these to available resources, and to identify and mitigate known risks to delivery.
