✓Our client, a medium sized manufacturer, is looking for an Assistant Commercial Accountant, to work within the existing finance team and assist in supporting the operational and commercial functions, and work to improve performance and profitability.
✓Amongst over things, you will be responsible for.....
✓* Report customer margins
✓* Review actual/estimated margin variance
✓* Identify low margin products and customers, and report on these monthly.
✓* Monitor and report on distribution costs
✓* Calculate annual overhead recovery rates
✓* Maintain the Fixed Asset register
✓* Assist in monthly stock takes and take lead in project to migrate to automated system driven stock takes
✓* Assist in various finance and non-finance projects
✓You will have a minimum 3 years manufacturing and costing experience.
✓You will organised, accurate, conscientious and have excellent excel and reporting skills.
✓You will have excellent communication skills and be able to explain your financial information to non-finance colleagues.
✓You will be tenacious and have a desire to investigate and question the status quo.
