Deputy Shift Site Manager

✓About the role:
✓The Deputy Shift Site Manager assists the Shift Manager in the running of the site out of hours and helps with prioritising labour and equipment in order to meet the order and despatch requirements of our customers
✓The Deputy Shift Site Manager is a member of the Emergency Response Team and is required to deal with external contacts such as the emergency services, our neighbours, our customers and suppliers out of hours
✓The position will be based working on a plant involved in producing chemicals from simple one stage processes to complex multi stage ones.
✓You should have relevant experience from a chemical background, along with several years' experience working in manufacturing ideally with either supervisory or managerial experience
✓It would also be an advantage to be familiar with emergency response procedures
✓You should be confident, a good team member, quality and safety focused
✓You should also to be prepared to take the lead in the Shift Site Manager's absence.
✓Hours of work:
✓The position works a 4 on / 4 off 5-shift rota including weekends and nights
✓The hours of work are 06:00-18:00 for the day shift and 18:00-06:00 for the night shifts
✓Scheduled breaks within the shift pattern replace annual holiday
✓Salary is £34, 452 per annum
✓The position works on the 5-shift system working 2 days/2 nights/4 off shift pattern
✓Each working shift is 12 hours
✓Day shifts are 06:00 - 18:00, night shifts are 18:00 - 06:00
✓This pattern includes weekends and most bank holidays with the exception of the Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day
✓Every 8 week rotation there is an 18 day break with one day allocated to training
✓There is a 1 hour paid break during each 12 hour shift.
