ABOUT THE ROLE:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Technical Projects and Innovation function as a Food Safety Process Technologist
Reporting to the Technical Projects Manager, you will be Primarily responsible for Campylobacter management and reduction.
Avian Influenza management, reporting and compliance is also a key part and will offer you the exposure and experience to communicate with our entire customer base when required.
You’ll also be responsible for:
* Assist sites in achieving set Campylobacter KPI’s.
* Conducting audits of Campylobacter controls.
* Routine follow-up of corrective action plans created by site and Technical Projects Manager.
* Maintenance of a performance and non-conformance ranking tool.
* Working alongside the Technical Projects Data Analyst in determining adverse trends and where to focus efforts.
* Part of the role will involve covering for the Technical Analyst while they are on holiday, giving you great exposure and a learning & development opportunity.
* Management of Avian Influenza Impact Tracker and issuing of customer communications.
* Validation of new Campylobacter interventions including determining trial protocols.
* Regular analysis of results / KPI’s to determine where and at which sites’ focus is required
* Identifying and implementing better ways of working.

* Knowledge of pathogen behaviour, especially Campylobacter, advantageous.
* Experience of poultry lairaging operations and primary processing advantageous.
* Process auditing experience desired.
* Knowledge of Avian Influenza legislation advantageous.
* Driving license essential.
* Flexibility to travel throughout the UK and stay away from home essential.
* Ability to converse with process operatives as well as site management essential.
* A tenacious attitude
