Health And Safety Coordinator

DescriptionWe are looking for a Health And Safety Coordinator to join our client's team based in Huntingdon.
Immediate start!
Part time role.
Health And Safety Coordinator Hours- Up to 22 hours per week, all reasonable flexible patterns/hours of work considered.
Health And Safety Coordinator's pay rate is £13 to £15 per hour depending on experience and relevant NEBOSH qualification.
Health And Safety Coordinator's Main duties;

Drive awareness and accountability for environmental, health and safety performance through all levels of the organisation

Review H&S legislation, regulations, HSE guidance etc; and ensure implementation within the organisation.

Advising on hazardous materials and waste management issues.

Supporting on-site visitors and contractors
Maintain documentation for all contractors to ensure they are working safely and to the agreed risk assessment and method statement they submitted
Issue and supply permits for contractors.

Inducting any new employees, visitors and contractors on the Health and Safety systems.
6
Reviewing safe systems of the workplace and carrying out inspections to identify any equipment that is not safe, also inspections of the working conditions, practices, fire hazards and produce reports and recommendations on how to correct and problems.

Preparing health and safety strategies and developing policies.

Conducting and completing various audits and Health and Safety assessments, such as DSE, COSHH and risk assessments.

Ensuring fire safety audits are completed.

Managing accident and incident reports/investigations and any associated paperwork.

Establish, collect and review key environmental performance data to support regulatory and environmental compliance and the achievement of sustainability goals.

Liaise with external bodies, as appropriate to the role.

Lead the company’s Health & Safety Committee.

Preparing HSE documentation
Health And Safety Coordinator's Additional Duties;
1
To communicate effectively with the directors and the management team on any H&S concerns raised.
2
Reporting of H&S KPI’s, weekly and monthly.
3
Occasionally there will be a requirement to work extra hours to meet deadlines.
