Machine Operative

DescriptionManpower are seeking Machine Operators with a Production/ Manufacturing background offering an immediate start.
To support the Team Leader in meeting all departmental safety, quality and throughout objectives.
The role:
Machine Operative
To read, understand and implement the settings, specifications and customer requirements set out in Works instructions and Print Plan for packing of finished goods.
Keeping line stoppages to a minimum and ensuring non-conforming product is detected and effectively removed.
Working on an assembly line
React in a timely manner to issues that contribute to wastage on the line
Using the online IT systems to accurately complete transactions such as stock movements, quality checks etc
Pack Component [Ends] On-Line and Offline
Packing and Sorting of Finished Bulks [Sheets]
Ensure receipt and dispatch of all relevant goods is managed effectively
Work closely with the Inspection Line Operators, together taking responsibility for your decision making and quality of work
Work closely with your FLT driver, assist if necessary, keeping downtime to a minimum by ensuring jobs/materials are moved efficiently on and off your line E.g
previous jobs have been removed and next jobs have been prepared
Support and participate with the Team Leader with continuous improvement activities
Complete line maintenance tasks as appropriate and having received appropriate training
CNC experience preferred but not essential as training will be provided for candidates that posses a skilled operative back ground
