Material Controller

✓Experience needed to be the successful Material Controller:
✓Ensuring the NPI material requirements are ordered and expedited on time to tight timelines accounting for the impact on inventory value
✓Placing orders in line with system requirements ensuring the supplier's due date achieves the production due date, taking into account the impact on inventory value
✓Ensuring materials are expedited in a timely manner and the supplier achieves high due date delivery performance [>90%]
✓Ensuring the provision of relevant data to support supplier discussions or internal review
✓Facilitating any quality issues that may obstruct supply with relevant departments
✓Supporting the resolution of any invoice queries for delivery discrepancies
✓Supporting the management of materials for new project introductions
✓Maintaining stock and demand data with a view to optimising inventory
✓Helping to develop stock management systems and processes
✓Complete and maintain accurate, timely documentation and records as required by the team
✓Support other teams and functions as required
✓Experience and skills needed to be the appointed Material Controller will be:
✓Previous proven experience within a similar role within a fast-paced engineering environment
✓Understanding of MRP systems
✓Previous experience in a manufacturing and supply chain environment
✓Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively with teams
✓Good IT skills
✓Good attention to detail
✓Self-motivated with a can-do attitude
