Material Handling Technician
Description✓We currently have the following positions available:
✓Material Handling Technician's - at our new Hartlepool site.
✓THIS IS A FULL TIME POSITION.
✓YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN TRANSPORT AS THIS SITE IS NOT ON A PUBLIC TRANSPORT ROUTE
✓Working within the Operations team based at the Hartlepool Site
✓The role will be 3 days on, 3 days off rota.
✓Day shift - 6am until 2pm.
✓Back shift - 3pm until 11pm.Candidates must be flexible to support overtime.
✓Responsibilities:
✓The Material Handling Technician ensures a high standard of health and safety is always maintained throughout the site.
✓They have excellent communication skills which they will use to communicate with their team and stakeholders, in a professional manner.
✓Available to support their team onsite, The Material Handling Technician will be at hand to supply the appropriate equipment when needed by peers.
✓They are responsible for inventory, reporting of any incidents or accidents on site
✓They are accommodating to their peers when products are required to be prepared for delivery/in situ.
✓The Material Handling Technician is motivated to ensure the best possible service is given to third party partner and have the best interest of the business in mind; to achieve their project goals in the timeframe provided.
✓They will be required to carry out any further tasks as deemed necessary by the senior management team.
✓Skills and Qualifications required
✓To take care of your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your actions at work.
✓To ensure you maintain the highest of Health and Safety standards, issuing/ reporting contraventions as necessary.
✓To monitor and enforce company rules with regards Personal Protective Equipment [PPE] requirements.
✓To attend start and end of shift briefings and communicate start of shift objectives.
✓To ensure any accidents or incidents are reported to senior management as a matter of urgency.
✓To actively check equipment and ensure anything that has been reported as a concern has been followed up.
✓To control and manage all equipment documentation ensuring optimum levels of serviceability are maintained.
✓To carry out Gemba Kanri [GK] audits covering Manual Handling, Driving Standards and Standard Operation Procedures.
✓To manage the use of Warehouse Management Systems [WMS] and other IT to process customer requirements.
✓To promote continuous team development and performance and lead and promote continuous improvement activities.
✓To ensure a quality of shift handover.Job Types: Full-time, Permanent [Once a probation period is passed]
✓Pay:
✓£29,253 - £40,954 - Salary is based on experience; Salary will also incorporate shift work and weekend/bank holiday working.
