Operations Manager
Description✓Operations Manager – 12 Month contract - Shrewsbury
✓L & C Consulting are recruiting with a successful business in Shrewsbury for a new Operations Manager to run the warehousing, logistics & manufacturing teams
✓Working on a day shift, Monday – Friday, this long term contract position will suit an experienced Logistics Manager / Warehouse Manager / Manufacturing Manager who is looking for a new opportunity within a successful business and wants to develop their skills whilst working in a supportive environment.
✓Hours of work are 08:00 – 17:00 Monday - Thursday and 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday, though slight flexibility on this will be required at times.
✓Duties will include [but not be limited to]:
✓* Direct management of 2 – employees and indirect responsibility of up to 40 staff
✓* Ensure the smooth and efficient running of the manufacturing, logistics and warehouse teams
✓* Budgeting, strategic goal & KPI management
✓* Areas such as audits, compliance, production and capacity planning
✓* SOP
✓* Staff management and development
✓To be considered for this opportunity, you will have experience in a similar role
✓You will need to have good communication skills and have a flexible, honest approach to your work.
✓You’ll be IT literate, have good management skills and experience running efficient, warehousing / logistics / operations / manufacturing teams.
✓Applicants will also need to have good experience with ERP / MRP systems, H&S, Quality, Project Management and Lean Manufacturing practices.
