✓Salary: £40k-£60k
✓Location: Rotherham
✓My client is a local manufacturer and is looking for a Compliance Manager to join their team
✓The right candidate will be based within our Product Development Team in Rotherham and be responsible for product safety, testing, labelling, documentation, and all related compliance matters
✓Although based in the UK, much of the work will be to support the wider companies and distributors, to include the European Union, USA, Australia, Canada, Middle East, etc.
✓Product Safety & Compliance Manager - Job Role:
✓Product Development
✓* Working closely with UK Product Managers, advise on testing requirements for all new products.
✓* Main product areas include Toys, Food Contact Kitchenware, Xmas Decorations, Sentiment Gifts, Home Fragrance candles, oils and accessories and Cosmetic Gifts.
✓* Liaison with the staff at H&H China who organize testing with accredited Testing Houses
✓* Specification of labelling requirements, appropriate for each country
✓* Keep up to date with product safety regulations, directives, standards, packaging requirements and all aspects of product compliance.
✓* Develop contacts with specialists who provide support, through consultancy, training courses, seminars webinars, etc.
✓Export Support
✓* Provide product safety and compliance advice to the Export Sales Director
✓* Assist and advise in the creation of Declarations of Compliance and other export documentation.
✓* Liaison with the Logistics/Supply Chain team
✓* Advise individual distributors on specific testing for their market and assist with any import/Customs/Port Health product issues.
✓* Assist both H&H China and H&H Europe with any product safety and compliance issues.
✓Retail Support
✓* Answering product safety enquiries from retailers, provision of safety reports
✓* Supporting Customer Services in regard to any product complaints or issues.
✓* Liaison with the Key Accounts team re any product safety or compliance queries.
✓* Develop a good working relationship with the local Trading Standards office.
✓Product Safety & Compliance Manager - Person Requirements:
✓* Previous experience of compliance within manufacturing
✓* Knowledge of MS office
✓* Previous experience with ERP systems
✓* Attention to detail
