Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Production Planner on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the day-to-day management of Capacity & Planning and supply chain orders, specifically paper inputs, pallets and other production consumables using SAP.
Develop, implement and manage a system to ensure planning and capacity at the site are utilized / balanced in the most effective way possible including the capture of best practice of OMP.
Ensure sales orders fit into available production hours, which should be measured in hours utilizing OMP.
Develop strong customer service relations re supply chain issues.
Responsible for agreeing sub-contract partners and manage bought in board.
Suggest changes to agreed stock management based on order trends.
Ensure work orders are scheduled to optimize and balance production output, waste and customer service.
Skills and Qualifications:
Demonstrate an understanding of both the business and sales strategies.
Demonstrate an understanding of customer insights and needs within a complex manufacturing supply chain.
Use successful problem solving techniques to ensure root cause problem solving.
Drive continuous improvements and standardise processes and procedures where possible.
Be resilient and able to cope under pressure to react to frequently changing situations.
