Senior Buyer
Description✓We are delighted to present a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Buyer to cover maternity leave in a fast growing and well-established organisation based in Melksham.

✓ROLE SUMMARY
✓Within this varied role, you will report to the Materials Planning Manager and be responsible for the management of inventory levels to meet production requirements, ensuring competitive acquisition costs and high quality product standards.
✓MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
✓Your main day to day tasks will include the following:
✓* Monitor requirements for component requirements and place purchase orders to arrive in a timely manner for factory production.
✓* Work closely with the Stores function to identify and investigate any product shortages, expedite best delivery times with suppliers for replacement items and complete necessary stock adjustments
✓Communicate shortage issues with the Operational Management team.
✓* Track and monitor container deliveries through freight agents from the far east.
✓* Place forecasted purchase orders for specific materials/components and maintain inventory control system.
✓* Attend stocktake and maintain inventory spreadsheet, ensuring the integrity of each stock location is maintained.
✓* Maintain Purchasing department KPI’s in relation to stock control.
✓* Reconcile supplier delivery notes against purchase orders and GRN accordingly.
✓SKILLS REQUIRED
✓* Proven track record within procurement
✓* Previous experience within a manufacturing setting is preferential
✓* Experience of using Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar MRP/ERP software
✓* Intermediate excel skills would be beneficial
✓* Excellent communication skills and good attention to detail are essential
