Site Services Maintenance Assistant

✓Our Aylesford, Kent site is currently looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our Site Services department.
✓Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
✓* Effective Site Services maintenance support across the business with focus across Plant and infrastructure, ensuring efficient maintenance of Chillers, Compressors, Power, Heating/Cooling and Water for site, including contractor control
✓* Ensure compliance relating to each, including legionella
✓* Ensure compliance to Business Continuity accountabilities
✓* To carry out repairs and improvements on fixtures, fittings and general property maintenance.
✓* Complete any repairs or modifications within ability/competence or arrange for remedial action to be taken.
✓* Liaise with external suppliers as required for agreed remedial
✓* Conduct defined safety checks and inspections to agreed specification within agreed timescales including Legionella, fire hydrant
✓* Day to day maintenance management of Mechanical Handing equipment for the site, ensuring availability and compliance
✓* Ensure compliance to Business Continuity accountabilities
✓* Assist with purchase and install of major plant and equipment for the site, including CAPEX creation and realisation of efficiency gains
✓* Maintain infrastructure of the site, including buildings, roads, and open spaces
✓* Monitor and control external contractors related to Site Services activities
✓* Build effective relationships and collaborate with a range of individuals and department leaders at all levels across the organisation.
✓* Actively promote our company values within the team and wider business
✓Person Specification:
✓* Problem solving and diagnostics related to Site Services.
✓* Coordination of purchasing, planning repair works & budget controls relating to Site Services.
✓* Key Skills in all aspects of Site Services and sufficient understanding of processes relating to all Site Services & utilities
✓* An understanding of current legislation relating to Site Services processes and its implications for Polypipe.
✓* An understanding of environmental issues and its implications on Site Services at Polypipe.
✓* To operate in an organised and safe manner in line with H&S requirements.
✓* Numerate.
✓* Good communication skills
✓Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm, 40 hours per week
