Site Supervisor
Description✓Orchard Professional Solutions is looking for a Site Supervisor.
✓Duties /Responsibilities
✓Planning
✓Supervise and assist with the preparation of sites, including unloading and suitable storage of building materials and plant
✓Review, during site set up day, all documentation and ensure working methods have been agreed, are appropriate and safe
✓Ensure the whole team has the correct personal protective equipment required for the project
✓Report all defects in tools, plant, equipment and materials before start of project where possible
✓Identify all hazards to new site personal and site visitors
✓Inform management of any change to state of health, either temporary or permanent, which might affect working
✓Manage the delegation of tasks within the team to provide the most efficient plan to complete the project[s]
✓Liaise with the Project/ Site Coordinator to ensure all project requirements are running to schedule

✓Communicate effectively with management, Clients and wider team
✓Ensure appropriate use the welfare facilities by the team
✓Maintain a safe and tidy working environment including wearing full PPE, at all times
✓Utilise Company communication platforms such as email, workplace, Forums etc

✓Ensuring legal compliance by the team at all times and oversee all matters relating to Health, Safety, and Environment
✓Ensure there is no danger to yourself or other persons through actions or failures to act
✓Lead on all aspects of health, safety and welfare
✓Follow Risk Assessments, Method Statements [RAMS] and Construction Phase Plans [CPP]
✓Ensure the team uses the correct tools and equipment for the task, and only use tools which are in good condition
✓Store, handle, use and dispose of materials in the correct manner
✓Ensure the whole team, including sub-contractors operate heavy machinery in conjunction with CPCS training e.g
✓diggers/dumpers/compressors
✓Follow all training and reasonable instructions given

✓Oversee all matters relating to Quality
✓Take overall responsibility for the Supervision of quality on site at all times
✓Ensure that all quality documentation is filled out accordingly
✓Monitor temperature control systems to ensure works stay complian
✓Only apply products if suitably trained and confident to meet quality standards
✓Ensure all and any material is stored safely and suitably on site, and that all storage complies to relevant legislation

✓Performance- Monitor, review, challenge site standards and maintain the Company brand
✓Refrain from horseplay and ensure the whole team conducts itself in a professional manner at all times
✓Ensure project is on program
✓Take responsibility for the safe keeping of machinery and materials on given projects including ensuring equipment is off hired in a timely fashion
✓Understand Project/ Site Coordinators , Project Manager reports and forecasts on a regular basis, to keep up to date with progress and manpower on projects
✓Essential
✓CSCS Blue card or willingness to obtain
✓EUSR Water Hygiene Card or willingness to obtain
✓Certificate in Confined Spaces or willingness to obtain
✓SSSTS or willingness to obtain
✓Experience of working on-site, in a supervisory capacity
✓Ability to work well leading a small team, as well as work alone and use own initiative to solve problems and complete daily tasks
✓Possess a conscientious and positive attitude to work
✓Be self-motivated and have the ability to complete daily tasks with minimum supervision
✓Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces safely, following relevant training
✓Ability to follow instructions and accept personal responsibility
✓Ability to act on initiative, particularly in respect to Health & Safety and report relevant matters
✓Demonstrate good driving skills in company vans
✓Driving will be monitored and tracked
✓Willingness to attend training courses, as and when required
✓Willingness to travel and work away from home, as and when required
