Technical Auditor
Description✓Our client is a global market leader of Fresh and Frozen produce, due to their increasing demand, growth, and development they are seeking to employ a Technical Auditor for their Kings Lynn site.
✓The role is to cover maternity leave until approximately April next year.
✓Looking for the ideal candidate to start as soon as possible.
✓Very competitive salary offered.
✓Hours will be Monday to Friday – 8 hours per day.
✓They can be flexible on working hours ideally, 6am – 2pm or 7am – 3pm or 8am – 4pm however, flexibility is required especially for audits.
✓Reporting directly to the Quality Manager.
✓Purpose of the role
✓The purpose of the role is to work alongside the Technical Manager and site operational teams to ensure that site standards are maintained and compliant to site and customer requirements
✓In addition to ensure the food safety, quality, integrity and authenticity of the products are maintained at all times.
✓The Technical Auditor will have overall responsibility of ensuring that compliance audits are conducted across the operation in line with the sites internal audit schedules.
✓Duties & Responsibilities
✓Overall responsibility of ensuring that internal audits are completed in line with the sites internal audit schedules, covering compliance against site procedures & policies, 3rd party audit requirements and customer standards
✓Other members of the Technical team will also be allocated internal audits to ensure cross function where possible.
✓All audits must be completed in time with a full audit report and any non-conformance summaries, including close out dates, clearly documented.
✓Non-conformances raised during internal audits will be discussed with the relevant department lead, corrective will be agreed with realistic timescales for closure following the sites procedures.
✓The Technical Auditor is responsible for ensuring that all non-conformances raised across all audits are logged on the internal audit non-conformance log and for ensuring full close out of the non-conformances raised, with supporting evidence.
✓Report on technical status monthly and any outstanding non-compliance within Technical Management KPIs and site escalation procedures.
✓ Complete trending analysis for internal and external non-conformances raised, to support with root cause investigation and analysis.
✓Support the site Technical Manager with gap analysis and risk assessment against updated standards for 3rd party and external customers.
✓Encourage a culture that supports all aspects of H&S and Lean Management.
✓Continuously identify ways to reduce costs and improve systems and standards to optimise efficiency and effectiveness
✓In time to represent internal audit review during our customer audits
✓Supply chain mapping and supplier non-conformances with the possibility of external customer audits.
✓Support the Technical Manager with management of the Qadex system for UK approvals of SAQ, RM risks, etc.
✓Any other ad hoc duties as required by the Technical Manager
✓Requirement & Skills for the role
✓Experience working as a QA Supervisor, ideally within the food manufacturing industry
✓Excellent understanding of Quality Assurance Principles
✓Demonstrable auditing skills
✓HACCP at a minimum of level 2
✓General understanding of microbiology
✓Experience in aesthetic swabbing
✓Understanding of commercial, operational, health & safety and engineering processes
✓Manufacturing/food industry experience
✓SAP
✓Understanding of blanching/freezing
✓Form qualification in auditing
✓Intermediate HACCP
✓Supervising Food Safety
✓Personal Skills
✓Ability to make rapid and balanced decisions
