✓We are offering a fantastic opportunity and supportive leadership role to the right candidate who can demonstrate the tenacity and drive to take on the challenge of the role as the lead fabricator and foreperson in a precision sheet metal workshop, setting and managing high standards.
✓Essential skills & experience:
✓* Good general knowledge of fabrication and TIG/MIG Welding to high standard along with a good understanding of sheet metal and framework.
✓* Efficient working practice, working smarter not harder so experience of meeting production fabrication targets on regular produced items desirable with a focus on speed and quality at the same time.
✓* Reading, understanding and working to technical drawings to Fabricate metal assemblies.
✓* Finishing grinding and sanding to ensure products are ready for paint/powder coating.
✓* Responsible for Identifying weld quality, parts, jigs and fixture types to enable you and your team to complete the welding process of all metal assemblies to the required standards.
✓* Ensure the proper handling of machines, product, tooling and fault reporting at all times.
✓* Good workstation management ensuring all equipment is shutdown safely, tidied away and area clean at end of the day.
✓* Communication skills, ability to understand the project and Information and explain to others
✓* Working with management on monthly production schedules and identifying and mitigating efficiencies and potential issues.
✓* Working with operations manager as a partnership in the effective and combined running of the business
✓* Team leader/leadership experience essential with ability to motivate and drive a team to excel by leading the way and setting high standards.
✓* Experience of Health & Safety compliance with management of safe working practices.
