The Role
A new opportunity for a Content & PR Coordinator has risen to join the growing Business Development and Marketing team
They are looking for a confident individual whose responsibilities will include editing, improving and proof-reading SEO copy [blogs, web pages and news stories], email newsletters, and advertorial, marketing and event literature, and occasionally award and tender submissions.
The role is Reporting to the Head of Marketing, and the successful candidate will also work with the Director of Business Development, Assistant Marketing Manager and Marketing Coordinator in delivering the firm's marketing strategy.
Working closely with all the members of the marketing team, the Content and PR Coordinator will maintain the accuracy of the firm's marketing content; proofread articles and blogs; research, write and circulate press releases and literature; coordinate advertising production and assist with ad hoc business development projects.
The position will be based in Colchester.
There will be the opportunity to work from home, if desired, in line with the Firm's flexible working guidelines.
The role will include:
Proof reading [with an eye on SEO] the firm's website, blogs, articles, and email newsletter content to a high standard
Also assisting with other content, for example, social media posts, when required
Writing and distributing press releases - both reactive [e.g., new hires] and strategic [e.g., points of law the firm wishes to promote], with a focus on digital reach and liaising with the press Working with the firm's creative agency to coordinate the firm's advertising - producing adverts and advertorial to deadline, proof reading and checking artwork
Coordinating the production of marketing literature and supporting the events team in the production of event materials
Involvement in running campaigns.
Coordination of annual directory submissions, and ad hoc award and tender/bid submissions
Working with marketing colleagues, explore other content avenues e.g., podcasts, video.You will:
Have a proof-reading/editing qualification, English language qualification or similar experience
Have good understanding of SEO editorial and digital copy writing skills
Have a good understanding of the set up of a press release
Have experience of working to deadlines
Be receptive to change and critique
Have excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and influence at all levels
