We are searching for a skilled professional to play a vital role within their team
As the Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for creating and drafting a variety of contracts, including head contracts, addenda, buy-ins, foreign rights, novations, and reversions
Your adept negotiation skills will be instrumental in securing terms with diverse stakeholders, while also providing expert guidance to our clients' editors
You will efficiently navigate permissions and rights clearance processes, ensuring compliance and offering valuable advice when necessary.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the head of contracts to handle permission requests, conducting rights checks, negotiating terms, and managing invoicing.
Take the lead in managing subsidiary rights and actively seek opportunities for dramatization rights.
Regularly review and enhance contract processes, ensuring compliance and efficiency.
Maintain and create indispensable spreadsheets to facilitate seamless contract management.
Develop and implement streamlined procedures to optimize contract management.
Monitor and ensure adherence to contract procedures, including obtaining authorization from signatories.
Collaborate with the head of contracts in developing new contract templates as required.
Provide guidance and supervision to a contracts assistant, fostering their professional growth
If you are a Contracts Manager with exceptional drafting skills and a strong aptitude for negotiation, this role presents an excellent opportunity
Your commercial awareness and up-to-date knowledge of industry trends will be highly valued
A comprehensive understanding of copyright and contract law, encompassing intellectual property such as trademarks, is essential
An interest in licensed and spin-off products is desired
Familiarity with Biblio and DocuSign is advantageous
