Data Analyst

✓Our client are a fantastic Print business based in Surrey, they looking for an experienced Data Analyst to gather data across all the business areas, including Finance, Client Services, Sales and Studio teams
✓Interrogating, analysing and translating the results into non-technical language business reports, to help make well informed decisions, improve process, efficiency and margins within the business.
✓This is an exciting NEW opportunity created in response to the realisation that the correct interpretation of data can aid in the company prosperity
✓To do this the position requires constant innovation, evaluation, and iteration
✓The Data Analyst will be responsible for monitoring and handling data, building data models to organize important data for the different teams across the business.
✓What you'll do:
✓* Work with a variety of data sources primarily our Print MIS system - extracting knowledge and actionable information from massive datasets
✓* Build and flesh out data models from our Print MIS database for use in regular and/or automated reporting and analysis
✓* Using tools and techniques to visualise data in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams and graphs for management
✓* Support the business as a whole, including the finance department and client services department with ad hoc and month end reporting.
✓* Preparing reports and presenting these to management and clients
✓* Be a passionate problem solver - breaking down problems and developing analytical insights
✓* Convey your work and results to a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders – nerds and non-nerds
✓* Evaluate operations for inefficiencies and identify areas where you can create, automate, and develop tools [SQL-based or otherwise]
✓* Using data to predict trends in the customer base and the consumer population as a whole
✓* Diagnose data-related bugs and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner
✓* Monitoring data quality and removing corrupt data
✓* Continuously strive for a deeper understanding of our business drivers
✓What you bring to the table:
✓* 2+ years supporting business operations in an analytics capacity
✓* A love for insights, innate curiosity, and a deep desire to find ways to create value
✓* Solid communication skills
✓* Passion for automation
✓* Comfort in a complex data environment and understanding of data structures
✓* Experience with Microsoft Power BI and Excel [Experience with SQL is a plus, but not expected]
✓* Experience with some flavour of data visualization [we use Izenda]
✓* Familiarity with transactional and data warehouse environments advantageous
✓* The business sense to understand why you're pulling data and whether it seems accurate...not just pulling it
✓* You like to formulate the right questions versus just seeking answers to make sure the best and smartest decisions get made.
✓* Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders including suppliers and clients.
