Executive Assistant to CEO

DescriptionAre you an accomplished Executive Assistant? Our client, a renowned publisher of high-quality illustrated books in Central London, is currently seeking a skilled individual to join them on a fixed-term basis of up to 12 months as an Executive Assistant, supporting their CEO.

Responsibilities:
Serve as a dependable and responsive point of contact, overseeing communication on behalf of the CEO, managing requests and inquiries from external contacts and staff members throughout the organisation.
Managing the CEO's schedule, coordinating all internal, external, and board meetings.
Efficiently handle all correspondence on behalf of the CEO, including managing their inbox, organising electronic files, composing and proofreading correspondence, and maintaining up-to-date contact lists.
Prepare and coordinate internal meetings, ensuring accurate minutes are recorded and distributed.
Create, develop, compile, and format intricate documents, reports, and presentations, encompassing company communications, board reports, and PowerPoint presentations.
Conduct research for new projects and provide assistance for commissioned projects by collaborating with authors, external contributors, and internal publishing teams.
Monitor schedules, oversee workflow input, handle author payments, cheque requisitions, and distribution of author copies for commissioned projects.
Arrange and manage travel arrangements, providing itineraries, while also overseeing travel expenses and general expense management
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of supporting C-suite executives and demonstrate their ability to thrive in busy office environments and to possess extensive experience in diary and inbox management
The ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritise effectively is essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to excel in this role, and the candidate should be proactive and capable of working independently.
Experience in book publishing is a desirable bonus, and the candidate should possess a diplomatic and can-do attitude.
We are looking for candidates who are available for an August start and are happy work in the office 3 days per week
