✓This is ideal for university graduates in languages wishing to pursue a translation career.
✓LOCATION
✓Hybrid
✓Office is a town outside of NW London called Gerrards Cross [20 minutes by train] - Hybrid working [2 days in office + 3 days remote
✓For the 1st month, the job will be 100% office based, 5 days a week, for training, then hybrid working will commence.
✓COMPANY AND BACKGROUND
✓Our client is an international and very successful translation company, one of the largest in the world.
✓JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
✓To join the international translation department, they wish to recruit Translation Proofreaders with the following language combinations:
✓* English to native language level + fluency in both German AND French
✓* French to native language level with a degree-level qualification in English
✓* English to native language level with a degree-level qualification in German AND 1 other language, such as French/Dutch/Spanish or Italian but all languages considered]
✓Your role as Translation Proofreader will include the following duties and responsibilities:
✓* Word-by-word checking of translations prepared by technical staff
✓* Adapting existing translations to conform to new versions of documents
✓* General office work relating to the finishing and dispatch of translations
✓CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE / SKILLS
✓* One of the following language combinations:
✓1
✓English to native language level + fluency in both German AND French
✓2
✓French to native language level with a degree-level qualification in English
✓3
✓English to native language level with a degree-level qualification in German AND 1 other language, such as French/Dutch/Spanish or Italian but all languages considered]
✓* Educated to university degree level in a languages subject that covers the languages
✓* Have an ability to work quickly and proof read
✓* Experience of TRADOS is an advantage but not essential
✓SALARY
