You will work up to 12 months at each location.

You will work 37.5 hours a week alongside the multidisciplinary team at the above locations, and manage a defined caseload and will carry out Occupational therapy assessments, treatment and evaluation of this intervention to identify mental and physical barriers to an individual service user's level of function in daily life-skill activities
As a graduate Occupational Therapist you will have the opportunity to consolidate your experience working between three locations - Huyton which is a specialist rehabilitation service for men and women with complex mental health needs, Crossley Place offers women with complex mental health diagnosis support in their recovery pathway, and Gateway Recovery offers care and support to men with mental health diagnosis and Autism.

Your responsibilities:
To plan and implement individual and or group interventions, using skills to assess, grade, modify and review and evaluate clinical intervention to deliver therapeutic goals and maximised functional independence and rehabilitation potential within clinical specialist area.
To undertake Occupational Therapy assessments which will identify factors affecting the service user's functional performance
These factors may include physical as well as mental health barriers to function.
To work in partnership with the service users to establish realistic and achievable Occupational Therapy goals and contribute to the overall multi-disciplinary treatment approach.
To apply evidence-based approach to clinical interventions including the use of standardised assessments and outcome measures allowing clinical evaluation of the Occupational Therapy process.
To gain consent from the service user for their participation in Occupational Therapy intervention using negotiation skills.
To participate and work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, contributing to decisions with regards to service users programmes and communicating outcomes of Occupational Therapy assessments and treatment plans
This will include attendance at clinical and development meeting, Multi-disciplinary reviews and CPA meetings.
To promote the role of Occupational Therapy with service users, family and friends and external agencies who engage with the multi-disciplinary team.To be successful in this role, you'll need:
Degree in Occupational Therapy
Registered with Health Care Professions Council [HCPC]
Knowledge and understanding of mental health conditions
Membership with the British Association of Occupational Therapists [BAOT]
Ability to demonstrate person centred care through the use of a range of communication skills to facilitate caring relationships and effective teamwork.
To demonstrate caring and compassionate behaviours with service users, family/friends and colleagues, maintain dignity and respect within all interactions and therapeutic interventionsWhat you will get:
