✓Hours: Full time – 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday
✓Role Summary
✓We are looking for an Occupational Health Screening Nurse to join our busy team based at our clients Occupational Health head quarters in Lambeth, London.
✓You will be solely working on the Metropolitan Police contract and day to day you will be doing a mixture of face to face medicals, pre employment questionnaires, fitness for task medicals, safety critical medicals and running the immunisation clinics.
✓Main Duties and Responsibilities
✓Conduct a range of health assessments including health surveillance programmes.
✓Support immunisation services and provide general advice on health and wellbeing.
✓Pre employment assessments.
✓Proficient in phlebotomy.
✓Perform routine medicals – audiometry, vision screening, lung function tests, height, weight, blood pressure and pulse.
✓Competent clinician with the ability to work on own initiative.
✓Maintain and secure confidential medical records and systems in accordance with statutory requirements.
✓Maintain professional development by attending relevant courses and study days to keep abreast of current knowledge and developments.
✓Abide by the legal requirements and statutory rules relating to practice and record and maintain periodic professional registration with RCN & NMC.
✓Experience, skills and knowledge required for the role
✓Registered General Nurse with previous experience in health screening and immunisations.
✓Current NMC registration
✓You will need to be a proactive, friendly and professional person who is confident in managing their own workload.
