Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse
Description✓Job Description: Sirona Medical are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse to join our dynamic team at our Hampshire location
✓As an Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons during orthopaedic procedures, ensuring patient safety, and delivering exceptional patient care.
✓Responsibilities:
✓Prepare the operating room and equipment for orthopaedic procedures, ensuring all instruments are sterile and functional.
✓Scrub in and assist the surgical team during orthopaedic surgeries, including joint replacements, fracture repairs, and spinal surgeries.
✓Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques, infection control protocols, and safety standards.
✓Monitor and assess patients before, during, and after surgery, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
✓Assist with the positioning and draping of patients, ensuring optimal access and a sterile field.
✓Collaborate with the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.
✓Handle and document surgical specimens accurately.
✓Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.
✓Participate in ongoing professional development and training activities to enhance knowledge and skills.Qualifications and Requirements:
✓Registered Nurse [RN] qualification with valid registration in the United Kingdom.
✓Demonstrated experience working as a Scrub Nurse in orthopaedic surgeries.
✓Solid understanding of orthopaedic procedures, instruments, and implants.
✓Excellent knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
✓Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
✓Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
✓Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
✓Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
