DescriptionWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing Finance team at RBSL.
As Assistant Project Accountant, you will be responsible for projects in the ISS [In Service Support] part of the business
You will interact with the projects team on a daily basis and senior key stakeholders to provide sound financial support and advice
It is essential to have a technically sound accounting knowledge and a desire to create value.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor and review the cost and performance of the project or group of projects area, providing sound financial support and advice, maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers and evaluating processes to ensure that robust, relevant and adequate financial controls are in place.
Deliver accurate and consistent project reporting information to meet the needs of the project team and finance management with the required timescales of the business unit and the wider group and including the development and preparation of CSR, PFM, related trading plans key forecasts, risk review and challenge accordingly.
Providing Programme Managers and stakeholders with timely financial reports and budgets, as well as project forecasts
Ensuring a steady cash flow by generating, auditing, and sending invoices in a timely manner.
Preparing robust inputs to support Programme Forecasting [ETC, EAC and variances analysis] and reviewing budgets, including resource costs, work plans, and fee structures.
Deliver value adding and robust financial service to the project team and initiate continual review and improvement of processes and procedures to ensure that the financial control requirements of the business are met.

Internal and External reporting including DefCARS reporting and and inputs into quarterly reporting for Rheinmetall AG.WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
Working towards a recognised qualification [ACMA, ACCA or ACA] or qualified by experience
Knowledge and applied experience of project financial management within a CAM project environment and experience of IFRS15 would be advantageous
Know how to navigate through a finance system [knowledge of SAP desirable but not essential]
Have experience with internal and external stakeholder management, being able to articulate financial problems to non-financial individuals
Some exposure of business partnering skills with effective communication and influencing skills at all different levels
Commercial acumen and ability to work across functions in the businessWHAT WE OFFER YOU
