✓Your Duties - Buyer:
✓Effectively manage project budgets to ensure financial objectives are met while optimizing procurement outcomes.
✓Create accurate and comprehensive Bill of Materials to support procurement activities and facilitate smooth project execution.
✓Act as the main point of contact for managing procurement dependencies, liaising with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
✓Take charge of managing key suppliers and subcontracts, fostering strong relationships, monitoring performance, and resolving any issues that may arise.
✓Provide support in winning new business by participating in bid activities, contributing to cost estimating, and ensuring procurement requirements are met.
✓Undertake ad hoc duties as required to support the smooth functioning of the procurement function.
✓Experience/Skills Required - Buyer:
✓Possess or actively working towards CIPS [Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply] certification, demonstrating a commitment to professional development in procurement.
✓Exhibit strong negotiation skills, allowing you to secure favorable terms and achieve value for money in procurement transactions.
✓Proficient in understanding technical drawings, enabling you to accurately assess requirements and align them with procurement activities.
✓Familiarity with bids and proposals processes, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of the procurement lifecycle within a defense context.
✓Proficiency in cost estimating, enabling accurate financial planning and evaluation of procurement options.
✓Ability to obtain SC [Security Check] level security clearance, ensuring compliance with security protocols and allowing you to work on classified projects.
