✓We are assisting a client of who is looking to recruit a Combat Systems Test Engineer to join the Commissioning Group based out of HMS Clyde
✓As the Combat Systems Test Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting Submarine Commissioning, Testing and Calibration activities in accordance with the Clyde Safety Management Arrangements
✓Roles & Responsibilities
✓Reporting to the Commissioning manager you will be responsible for:
✓Conducting Submarine Commissioning, Testing and Calibration activities in accordance with the Clyde Safety Management Arrangements.
✓Liaising with various ship staff and teams in order to carry out trials.
✓Checking all fitters work after completion and before assets are handed over to the Navy - this can include- Combat systems, Sonar, Communications, Fibre, and Networks.
✓Provide support regarding the implementation of the Company Safety, Quality and Environmental policies in the Commissioning Group area of the business.
✓Ensuring that risks assessments are carried out for safe working practices and attitudes.
✓Writing Test Forms/procedures and assist the Senior Test Engineer in maximising the utilisation and the efficiency of the Test Engineers.
✓Skills & Qualifications
✓We are looking for someone with the following:
✓NVQ 3 minimum in a relevant field
✓HNC of Electrical/Electronic or equivalent experience such as a Recognised Apprenticeship
✓Combat Systems Commissioning and Testing Internal Training - Desirable
✓Working knowledge of combat systems and equipment [electrical]
✓17th OR 18th Edition - City and Guilds -desirable
✓Must already hold or be able to obtain relevant SC clearance.
