ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of data reporting and analytics to support and transform the digital reporting and analytics landscape of the GSI business unit
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst to work with the business functions to develop and implement visualisations and dashboards to provide insights to enable strategic business decisions using SSRS and Power BI
The role sits within the Supply Chain Systems and Data Analytics Team and requites UK based security clearance.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
* Support the Vice President, Procurement and Supply Chain in obtaining key trends and analytics for GS International including all aspects of data reporting for both internal stakeholders and clients.
* Responsible for data-analysis write-ups from understanding of the presented world-problem, research [internal and external], data and modelling approach, results analysis and conclusions report.
* Being responsible for the business relationship with the Supply Chain data consumers
* Transforming requirements into deployed interactive dashboards and reports
WHAT YOU’LL BRING [EXPERIENCE & BEHAVIOURS]
* Technical expertise in Power BI, Oracle and MS SQL, T-SQL
* Experience with Cognos would be advantageous.
* Solid MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills.
* Good ability to acquire data from primary and/or secondary data sources.
* Proven ability to understand both business and IT processes and workflows.
* Demonstrates good working knowledge of IT technologies.
* Knowledge of market trends and political activity which affect the overall businesses.
* Experience of requirements elicitation from all stakeholder levels.
* A good team player
* Proven analytical thinking.
* Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
* Skilled in translating and explaining complex data problems in easily understood, clear and concise terms.
* Strong presentation skills and comfortable presenting findings to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
* Ability to understand both the bigger picture as well as individual tasks.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED [QUALIFICATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS]:
ESSENTIALS:
* BSc in related subject or equivalent experience
* Oracle and MS SQL Server Database technologies
* Proficiency in SQL and T-SQL
* Experience using Power BI in a corporate environment
* Proven experience working with data analytics tools such as Power BI or Cognos
DESIRABLE/PREFERRED
* A background in Financial Services would be advantageous
