✓Introduction
✓We are looking for someone to deliver Astute Class SMQ, Operations or Ship Control Training [SCT]
✓The individual must be capable of presenting their Subject Matter Expertise [SME] in the analysis and solution development for technical change, providing advice and support to Marine Training projects
✓As the Ship Control Instructor, you must have a sound knowledge and application of submarine Tactical, Sonar or Ship Control operations, ideally on Astute class submarines.
✓Roles & Responsibilities
✓Reporting to the Ship Control Instructor you will be responsible for:
✓· Providing training to students with a wide range of experience, predominantly within the OPS/SMQ or SCT disciplines.
✓· Assisting with generic training such as Astute Class Familiarisation, as well as training external to the ACTS contract.
✓· Provide SME support to the review and evaluation of technical data/notifications of change, identifying the impact of change on existing courseware.
✓· Liaise with the Training Design [TD] team and provide SME support for the routine review and amendment of OPS, SMQ or SCT courseware.
✓· Conducting all administration and reporting activities associated with the delivery of training to contractual requirement and as otherwise directed by the management team.
✓· Ensure Company health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times.
✓Skills & Qualifications
✓We are looking for someone with the following:
✓· Comprehensive knowledge and recent experience of operating Astute class Tactical, Sonar or Ship Control systems.
✓· Experience of Submarine Control Room management.
✓· Qualification as an Operations Warrant Officer/Senior Rating or Leading Hand with significant relevant experience in the Royal Navy Submarine Service.
