The Special Projects group is recruiting for a highly organised and proactive Electronic Engineering Technician to join their team
We are looking for a highly motivated individual that has an interest and passion for electronics engineering, who enjoys learning new skills and seeks to understand how technology works
The job role will be within a high performing, delivery focused team supporting the design, manufacture and deployment of bespoke electronic hardware in support of NTR's off-site training activities.
The role will provide many opportunities to learn and develop your electronic skills in design, manufacture, test and validation.
Location: Reading
Package: £26,200 - £35,000 [depending on your suitability and level of experience]

Although electronics biased, the role is multi-disciplined where the individual will be expected to carry out all aspects of the product development lifecycle
Over time and with guidance from the team, the individual will be involved with requirements capture, design, building and documentation of training hardware being manufactured to customer specifications as well as their deployment on exercise.
Your duties will include [but are not limited to] the following:
Working to achieve project deadlines to time, cost and quality
Requirements capture and innovative research and development to find appropriate solutions to technical problems
Designing electronic circuits and interfacing of various electronic systems to meet customer specifications
Supporting the Special Projects team during offsite exercises and training events
We would be interested in hearing from candidates who can demonstrate knowledge or experience in some of the following:
HNC/ONC or equivalent qualification in Electronics or another relevant technical field
A minimum of 1-2 years' experience within industry
This may include an apprenticeship or graduate placement within industry
An understanding of electronic design
Experience of electrical testing on electronic circuits, understanding and experience in the use of standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters and function generators
Knowledge or experience in digital electronics using micro controllers
An understanding of PCB design
Knowledge of high voltage and/or pulsed power systems
Good communication skills, comfortable speaking to both technical and non-technical people at different levels of seniority
Candidates must be willing to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role
