Engagement Officer
Description✓LOCATION - Heathrow + 2 sublocations - West Drayton Colnbrook and West Drayton Harmondsworth
✓SALARY - £29,750 – £31,950
✓ABOUT THE JOB
✓We are hiring Immigration Enforcement Detention Engagement Officers in roles across our Detention Engagement Teams [DETs]
✓Here, you’ll be part of a dynamic, responsive team who do important work enforcing the government’s immigration laws, tackling illegal migration, and disrupting organised criminal groups that exploit the vulnerable for their personal gain
✓While the role is challenging and demands high levels of co-operation, the work you do is always interesting and allows you to engage with a variety of people

✓Hybrid working is not available for this role due to the requirements of the position
✓Successful candidates will be required to attend the office/other work location as specified at all working times.
✓The roles on offer are located in Heathrow, with sublocations at West Drayton Colnbrook and West Drayton Harmondsworth.
✓Responsibilities
✓* Conduct face-to-face engagements with those in detention, feeding back to caseworkers and recording interactions on HO IT systems in an accurate and timely manner
✓* Identify indicators of vulnerability, ensuring they are recorded and managed in-line with existing policy and instructions
✓* Providing case updates to residents and managing your own portfolio of residents
✓* Flagging contract issues appropriately to line manager or Compliance team
✓* Actively contribute towards compiling of management reports
✓* Undertake general office administration duties and assist in successful running of DETs within the Centre
✓* Work closely with Welfare Office, dealing appropriately with issues that may arise
✓* Complete asylum screening interviews remotely, when required
✓* Line management of AO Support Officers as required
✓* Other ad hoc administrative duties as required

✓* Strong verbal communication skills
✓* Good attention to detail
✓* Proactive, adaptable, and motivated

✓* IT skills with prior experience of Microsoft Office
